anjali misir is a Guyanese-American and Indo-Caribbean illustrator based in Queens, New York. Her illustrations are inspired by memory, nature, and moments with family.

As anjali continues to learn about the history of indenture in Guyana, she hopes to make work reflecting her ancestry, culture, and her family’s memories of the home they left.

Aside from illustration, anjali enjoys making autobiographical comics, making storyboards, and writing critical art essays on artists and gallery exhibitions. She has recently developed a newfound love for birding and has been recording her meetings with different birds in a small journal.
